Glove (and Mitt) Sizes

* Our Knit Kevlar gloves are available in several sizes. We stock these in Medium, Large, and X-Large. Please contact us if you need a different size.

* Our Gott 'Cool Sleeve' gloves are available in two sizes: Small (for a 8" palm circumference) or Standard (for a 9" palm circumference).

* Our Fingerless Knit Kevlar gloves and our Heat Eliminator gloves are available in one size, and stretch to accommodate most hand sizes.

* All of our Aluminized, Heavy Kevlar, Zetex and Zetex Plus gloves are available in only one large size. We sometimes jokenly refer to these as 'One size fits nobody.' We have often been asked if these could be made in smaller sizes. The answer is no, for several reasons:

• Like our clothing, all of these gloves are sewn inside out, and then turned right-side out. Due to the thickness of all of the materials used to make these gloves, if they were made any smaller, it would not be possible to turn them right-side out, nor would there be any room for your fingers.
• If you have read our report, "How to Select the right High Temperature Glove", you will recall that a glove will only slow down the transfer of heat ... it will not prevent it. Over time, heat will build up within the glove itself. When this happens, it is critical that you are able to fling the gloves off quickly. Otherwise, you run the risk of a serious burn. If the gloves were smaller and/or snug fitting, it would be much more difficult to remove them quickly when needed.

 

Cover Mitt Sizes

Our Kevlar cover mitts are made by the same manufacturer that makes our Heavy Kevlar gloves and mitts, and are sized to be a snug fit for them.

Our Zetex cover mitts are made by the same manufacturer that makes our Zetex gloves and mitts, and are sized to be a snug fit for them.

The Zetex cover mitts are a little larger than the Kevlar cover mitts, and may be a little loose over a pair of Kevlar gloves. Likewise, a pair of Kevlar cover mitts may be a little too small over a pair of Zetex gloves.
